Island Pacific Golf Academy's Kids Play Golf and U.S. Kids Golf Local Tournaments
Kids Play Golf - Tournament Training
Island Pacific Golf Academy is home to the U.S. Kids Golf Local tour here in Hawaii. With year round playing conditions on the island and an abundant amount of beautiful courses to play we put together a schedule every season for kids and their families to come out and compete against their peers. Parent Caddies are encouraged and spectators are always welcomed (if the course permits it). Nonetheless its a great venue for kids to showcase their talent and even earn the opportunity to compete for the World Championship Cup at Pinehurst N.C. In 2015, Oliver Oliquiano President and Founder of IPGA formed a partnership with Kellan Anderson, Executive Director of The First Tee Program of Hawaii. recognizing that kids who have taken lessons and understand the fundamentals may need some time on the course to develop their skills and learn proper golf etiquette. Kids Play Golf was formed to help introduce kids to tournament play. Learning how to keep score, tend the flag, understand the rules, pace of play, and turning in a complete scorecard are just some of the things we teach on the course. Plus the kids have a blast playing with their friends without any intimidation. For More details click on here.
Junior PGA League - Teams forming now.
Our program features a team-vs-team format in a structured league providing a popular, less stressful scramble format. The PGA JLG is a great way to get the entire family involved in golf, with parents as spectators, team-mothers, and coaches. Coach Oliver heads the Hoakalei and Kapolei team, so if you are interested please click here and register your child. Space is limited and the roster does fill up fast.
